The overnight shift

I've been working and raging about quitting at this transitional site for 2 years, 2 months, and 22 days now. This is literally the first time that I volunteered to work the overnight shift. This is LITERALLY the first god damn time I volunteered to work the overnight shift 😭. I don't feel sleepy because I brewed a pot of coffee in the downstairs office however, I am PANICKING. Ever since I got back from Maternity Leave about 3 to 4 clients died back to back and the crazy thing is that I feel their spirits are roaming in the building. No other staff member is working with me this overnight shift, I'm doing single coverage. SO far SO good the clients are quiet, there are a few that go in and out the building, I make sure that the offices are closed and that I have the master key with me at all times. I miss my baby girl and my boyfriend. Will I do another overnight shift? We will never know. Tune in on the next blog lol (maybe I'll write later because I have nothing else to do who knows😌) Oh here's a picture of Toby in my old room in my mom's house where I don't live at no more lol!

New Year... Same Me!!!

Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening whatever time you are reading this. Back in October I resigned from a job to go to another job then ended up resigning 2 months in (the grass is not always greener in the other side). It was another job that was in the social service field, with the same population- mentally ill, with a history of homelessness, substance users, a history of incarcerations and sexual offenders.. sounds scary doesn't it. At first you will be overwhelmed with work, notes, service plans, providers, sessions, supervisors on your ass Anyways I went from Weston United Community Renewal Inc (they are still holding the Healthcare Worker Bonus even though you properly resigned and are eligible, may god be with them) to BRC (RUN while you still can micromanagement to it's finest!!) Now I decided to work at .... well let's not name the company. Enough of the work mambo jambo it's already tiring talking about how any jobs I resigned from (GREAT RESIGNER). Have you e...

It's been a minute

I haven't been posting here for a while but.. my work life is atrocious lol. I've been complaining about the social work field for years now and finally there a change in the air. I'm stepping out Sionara Social work! Now I can focus on what I like to do.. decorating and eating also reviewing the food I eat. Maybe I should start recording and reviewing the food I eat. Yummy in my tummy! lol I still remain in NY however, we are going to be moving soon I don't know where I am going but I know it won't be boring.

Can you believe?

Can you believe this shit?! Lol just kidding I didn’t know what else the headline should be. This past week we’ve decided to go to Fogo de Chão because they have a special (who doesn’t love specials) it was about $44.00 per person to eat dinner at fogo!! From rib-eye, top sirloin, bottom sirloin, and their best Brazilian cuts (too many names to remember). They also have 2 year aged cachaça 🥹, Caipirinhas which are my favorite, Brazilian lemonade that I haven’t tried and the staff (well some) are humans. They interacted with us, they conversed of where they’re from which was interesting because most waiters and waitresses are terrified to speak to customers because some of us can be…. Not friendly. The bill was lower than usual but that’s okay it was our last treat at fogo for a little while. It was a great night. Then we walked all the way to Times Square to get some pizza 🫣
