had this ring on my middle finger A beautiful ring For about 10 years on the same finger How I’d love that ring It had a golden elephant with a ruby eye A gold rose eye with a tiny diamond A silver old man with a cane The number 7 and two gold clovers all for luck How I loved that ring My mom and brother gave it to be on my 15th birthday Now I’m 25 My finger had gotten swollen all of a sudden It was beginning to be uncomfortable The least thing I wanted to do was take off my beautiful ring, that I’d preferred over all others that I have stashed up in my closet.
